This kit is for SAM4s Cash Registers and POS (formerly known as Samsung). These kits are put to together to provide the easiest setup in the industry. We provide the cables and accessories needed for standard setups and also instructions on how to setup the system and video text inserter. If you have any other combinations please give us a call!

SAM4s Models:

Works with SAM4s cash registers with serial port interface for pole display or journal printer.
SAM4s Models include: ER-285, ER-380*, ER-380M*, ER-390M, ER-5115II, ER-5215M, ER-5200M, ER-5240M, ER-600, ER-650, ER-650R, ER-655II, ER-920, ER-925, ER-940, ER-945, SPS-320, SPS-340, SPS-345, SPS-520FT, SPS-520RT, SPS-530FT, SPS-530RT, SER-7000, SER-7040, SPS-1000 and SPS-2000.

SPECIAL CASE: Samsung models: 6540 II (But not the plain 6540, sorry)

Serial setup for SAM4s Registers:

  • bps  = 9600
  • Data bits 8
  • Stop bits 1
  • Parity bit NONE.
  • Port type set for Remote Journal Printer (TVS Interface) if possible or Epson Pole Display otherwise.

SAM4s Kit Application Requirements: Items Included

NOTE: You must have an available serial port or you must loop through to either an EPSON compatible pole display or a Journal Printer.  You can not loop through to a bar code reader.
The ECR owner is responsible for configuring the ECR serial port as required for Journal Printer data. Back up any critical data before making changes to the ECR.

These kits contain the items you typically need to interface to the cash register or POS system for which the kits are designed. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to check for acceptable placement of the Text Inserter with the power supply, and cable(s) provided and to adapt cables or provide cables of unusual length for their particular application.  
In addition to the price noted the shopping cart will add a Shipping & Handling fee good only for shipping to the lower 48 states, UPS ground.  Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii and outside the United States is extra so please call. We do not ship to a PO Box. No COD. Orders accepted subject to product availability. Orders are general accepted M-F except holidays. Orders received after 12:00 Eastern Time generally ship the next day.
